    Work, finances, family and all sorts of relationships can leave us feeling a bit stressed. So today we’re looking at how paddling boarding is a key element in beating stress.

    Paddle Boarding Feeds Your Mind

    Paddle boarding is as relaxing or as challenging as you want it to be. However, you always need some mental focus. This could be in the form of balance or general awareness of the surrounding conditions. It’s this mental energy which which distracts you from your day-to-day worries and gives your mind a new focus.

    This happens subconsciously as the brain develops a certain “muscle memory” and you just go through the strokes without much mental focus.

    Put simply, when you’re focused on your paddling, you’re not focused on stress at home, work, school or anywhere else.

    Plus, if you’re challenging yourself to learning new techniques, testing a new board or pushing yourself to go longer or faster, paddle boarding is a perfect way to get your thoughts in check.

    Paddle Boarding Feeds Your Body

    Paddle boarding can offer a fun and relaxing activity that mostly anyone can do, it is also one of the best full body workouts available. However fit or whatever size, shape or age you are paddling is a fun fitness activity. SUP is a low impact exercise that is a combination of balance, strength, and cardio whether you are paddling or just balancing on your board. It’s not only an excellent core workout but all mussel groups are brought in to play – toes, legs, back, shoulders, arms and neck which all work together.
